E-DEA JOIN THE BPO

E-Dea SpA, Company leader in Italy and Europe for cutting-edge solutions and technologies for the transportation market today announced that was elected as friendship partner of the Baltic Ports Organization, BPO, that counts fifty or more of the most significant ports in the nine countries on all sides of the Baltic Sea.

The new ISPS (International Ship and Port Facility Security) rules and regulations make mandatory the adoption of security and monitoring systems for both accessing Port and transiting through the boarding areas. Only passengers and vehicles with a valid boarding pass can access boarding areas, and their transit must be real-time monitored by using fast and flexible tools.
E-Dea solution for public security supports the day-to-day operations of national and international port security organizations, as well as emergency management department that must deal with port security regulations.

The organization was established October 10, 1991 in Copenhagen, after the fall of the Berlin wall and the demise of the Soviet Union, to facilitate co-operation between the ports and to take care of the possibilities for shipping in the Baltic Sea region. Initially the Western European ports played an important role in spreading knowledge within, e.g. market economy and business thinking to the new countries.
