ORACLE EMBEDDED LICENSE PROGRAM

E-Dea SpA, Company leader in Italy and Europe for cutting-edge solutions and technologies for the transportation market  today announced that  Oracle Corporation and the Italian software firm have signed the Oracle Embedded license program. Under the agreement E-Dea SpA will supply the Oracle Database infrastructure embedded in his IMOS® software solution product family.

With this new licensing model the IMOS® customers can now use all the power  and functionalities of the Oracle Database, including the Real Application Clusters option, at an affordable price, minimized custom software needed to develop and upgrade solutions, speeding time to delivery and reducing overhead.

According to Gartner  Group, the largest ICT research firm, the 2007 Worldwide RDBMS Market Share Reports 48.6% Share for Oracle. Gartner has published their market share numbers by operating system for 2007 based on total software revenues. According to Gartner, Oracle is the number one in the list of the database vendor.

The E-Dea announcement follow s the  recent  press release of the new company software offering . In fact the  IMOS® based  eBooking solution now includes  an Enterprise and a middle market software release plus an Hosted mode choice, both with a new technical support and product maintenance offering.
