06/10/2008

E-Dea, in partnership with Italian companies Elsag Datamat and Electron Italia, has won the call for tenders of SECINS (Security Check-In System) project at Brindisi Port Authority. The project is envisaged in the INTERREG III A Program - Grace-Italy 2000-2006 of the European Community.
E-Dea’s project task is based on the delivery of its well tested centralized check-in system eBoarding®, accordingly customized and optimized to comply with the operational context of the Port of Brindisi.
eBoarding® solution will be providing automated centralized check-in operations to all vehicles, cargo and passengers access.
The Multi-User and Multi-Company solution will be handling boarding cards printing and validation by its cutting-edge automated access gates, interactive self-service kiosks, ticket office stations and wireless palm devices assuring the right flexibility for responding to any prospective Port needs.
The SECINS project has the main goal of extending the check-in system to all Greek Port Authorities and other eventual countries.
At the end of the project, Brindisi Port Authority will able to share data with any kind of similar systems handled by other ports, strengthening cooperation and development with Grace and other countries and bringing huge benefits in terms of both Port security and embarkation/disembarkation processes optimization as well.
With 10 Ports in production and a total of 6 million passengers and about 10 million boarding cards issued in 2007, eBoarding® is confirmed to be a “leading product” servicing the main Port Authorities of the Mediterranean sea and the most important Italian and European Ferry-Cruise and RoRo Companies.
