E-DEA IMPLEMENTS TRACKING OF SARDINIAN TUGS

Rimorchiatori Sardi S.p.A. (since 2005, Moby S.p.A. Tugs Division) adopted TrackVision®, the E-Dea solution for traceability and monitoring of company land and maritime fleets.

Nowadays, the Company counts 22 tugs and a total power of 75.000 HP, tugs that operate in all ports of Sardinia island and in Off-Shore service, for salvage, for assisting petroleum terminals, and Off-Shore towages overseas, all over the world, including the environmental monitoring, preventing pollution of sea waters life.

TrackVision®, that has been installed on all the company tugs, is a complete system for the remote sensing of GPS positions of the fleet. The solution is composed of onboard devices, centralized management console and cartographic client interface.

The system provides tracking and storage of main NMEA information (latitude, longitude, compass degrees, speed, etc.) for each fleet unit through real time data communication.

Data can be sent via:

• LAN
• GSM / GPRS
• INMARSAT D+
