2009 |
In the fiscal year 2009 the Company was elected to join the Oracle Corporation "Embedded license program" at a worldwide level and became friendship partner of the Baltic Ports Organization, that includes the most significant ports in the nine countries on all sides of the Baltic Sea. |
2008 |
In order to follow the new European customer base, E-Dea Ltd was registered in London (UK) as a fully owned subsidiary of E-Dea S.p.A. The UK company has the target to support growing requests of E-Dea’s solutions from Nord European market (North Sea & Baltic). During the year, E-Dea solutions are managing maritime boarding and booking processes of more than 15 millions passengers across Europe. The company operates with 4 different departments: Software Development, Systems and Automation, Professional Services and Customer Support. |
2007 |
Company social entity became E-Dea S.p.A.; a new branch office was opened in Civitavecchia (Rome) in order to support E-Dea customer’s operations directly in to the Port of Rome, one of the most important cargo and passengers hub in the maritime Mediterranean market. E-Dea launched the first completely automatic centralized check-in system, based on eBoarding®, adopted by the ports of Rome, Genova and Brindisi. |
2006 |
The company decided to focus its mission and business to the Transportation and Logistic industry. This allowed E-DEA to concentrate more resources and know how on a single business unit, creating a wider vertical offering for these target markets. The company invested in the build-up of an innovative Test Room facility, dedicated to Research and Development projects and to the testing of the customer’s installed solutions. |
2005 |
E-DEA intended to continuiing its growth concentrating mostly on the increase in terms of quality and quantity of its organization and on the selection of other important market players in order to draw up solid technological partnerships. It is the birth of the first vertical products in the Travel&Transportation sector and for Port authorities; the eBoarding solution, for the management of embark flow of Shipping companies and Port facilities. eBoarding® was a candidate among the finalist’s short list of the ORACLE EUROPEAN AWARDS. |
2004 |
The company acquired important customers in the bank, finance and transportation industries; the target market moved also towards the Government sector for which E-DEA developed portals and software integrations activities. The continuous quality research inside the E-Dea processes granted to the company the quality certification ISO 9001, obtained by the prestigious German Board DNV. |
2003 |
The turnover of the company increased as like as the number of customers who choose E-Dea for the development and management of their E-Business. The company changed its organization staff in order to offer highly personalized and reliable application quality solutions. The organization of the company was divided in 3 distinct divisions which work in a integrated and cooperative way in order to follow the customers during the entire lifecycle of its E-Business solutions: IT Consulting (consultancy, analysis, design and software development ), Web Engineering (integration with the web), Outsourcing (maintenance and management services). The company became partner with ORACLE and BEA SYSTEMS. |
2002 |
E-Dea Srl structured his asset into 3 operative divisions: Networking, Web Engineering and ASP, and equipped itself with an state of art server farm in order to support the outsourcing needs of the customer base. The company acquired important customers in the entire Italian peninsula. Thanks to the competence in high technological solutions development, E-DEA was selected as a technological partner by the sailing Team “Mascalzone Latino”, involved in the America's Cup sale race. In collaboration with TIM, main sponsor of the team, E-DEA was one of the pioneers in Italy to acquire specific know how on wireless and GPRS application based solutions. |
2001 |
The great results achieved during the start-up phase builds up the management team confidence and expand the company's abilities and its referring market. The company changed it’s legal entity to E-DEA S.r.l. and extended its mission, proposing itself as an all-around E-Business solutions provider. |
2000 |
Two entrepreneurs, Paolo Parente and Nicola Cammarota, founded in the city of Naples the company MYDESKTOP.IT, in the wave of the Internet business booming of the early 2K. The company mission was concentrated in providing to the Italian Small and Medium size Enterprises applications solutions through an ASP usage model. The company signed technological partnerships with MICROSOFT, CITRIX e HP. |
